’Aleatorics’ explore the concept of exposure as a process of layering, like the strata of memory. First an image is exposed onto photo emulsion applied directly to a panel of glass, and then pigments and oils are applied and then compressed between an additional panel of glass, generating a kind of tectonic and alchemical interplay at the point of interface: “here are portrayed the hidden treasures of the earth and how the stars are locked up deep in the mountains.”
